Lord Kuber took residence in the village of Karnali 36 miles from Vadodara after he lost the kingdom of Lanka to Ravan who won it with his austerities.
Whoever offers Lord Kuber with pan-supari, the Lord grants them with wealth. This spot was chosen by Lord Kuber because it has Mother Amba in all her glory. This was the only place where Ravan could hurt Kuber.
