Swami Amritananda was know as Dr. Nishtala Prahlada Sastry. He was a nuclear scientist for 23 years at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai. He also worked as a teacher in Africa for two years.
Mother Bala Tripura Sundari called out to Guruji at the Balaji Temple in Hyderabad, which opened the doors of Devi Worship and the Tantric way wide open for him. Guruji, created a grand Meru Nilayam temple in Andhra Pradesh where the Devi is worshipped in the form of the Sri Chakra as well as her glorious murti forms.
Meru Nilayam also has a swayambhu Kamakhya Devi manifestation on a rock that is honored by devotees with regular poojas.
