Underground Patal Bhuvaneswar cave hold 33 koti devi devatas

Patal Bhuvaneshwar is another name for Lord Shiva. The Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave temple in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, is situated in the village Bhubneshwar. The locals honor the cave which is believed to hold thirty-three crore divinities including Lord Shiva.

The caves are like a maze with one cave leading to another. The awe-inspiring stalactite and stalagmites of various colors and forms are visited by lakhs of devotees. The caves, which are really caves within caves, have been electrically illuminated.

The Manaskhanda, Skandapuran, whose 800 verses refer to Patal Bhuvaneshwar:  "The one who wishes to experience the great reality should visit the Bhuvneshwar close to the confluence of the rivers Sarayu, Ramganga and Gupt-Ganga.

May Lord Patal Bhuvaneshwar awaken our devotion for service to the feet of our Guru Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa. Jai Patal Bhuvaneshwar! Jai Mata Di!
