Jai Mata Kali France Waali

Saint Sarah, also known as Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, the patron saint of the gypsies spread over Europe who say they originally came from India, is also known as Sara-la-Kali, Sara the Black, and Sara e Kali in Romani, the language of the gypsies who are called the Roma. He shrine in France attracts Roma people from across Europe and the world every year where the hold a big celebration to honour her.

Sara Kali has been compared by some authors to the Hindu goddess Kali, whose worship is widespread in India, which is considered to be the motherland by all Roma spread across the world. While stories explaining the origins of Sara Kali in the Christian Bible exist, scholars say Sara Kali is not of Christian origin.

May Lord Sara Kali, our mother in France, bless us with wisdom, wealth, health and happiness!
