Soldiers who attack with "Jai Maha Kali" on their lips

These warriors from the Himalayas battled with the British in the 19th century and were such fearsome fighters that after the war was over, the British Army decided that they wanted these men on their side. Though India is now independent, Britain continues to recruit these soldiers who have a reputation for being deadly across the world directly from Nepal.

Yes, we are talking about the Hindu and Buddhist Gorkhas of Nepal and India who enter battle with the cry "Jai Maha Kali! Aayo Gorkhali (Glory to Maha Kali! The Gorkhali are here!) "! These men continue to fight in the British ranks and are at the front on most war fronts including Afghanistan where they fought the Taliban.

These brave warriors have also served India with distinction in all its wars including the Kargil war. Three warriors from Gurkha battalions have been awarded India's highest gallantry award Param Vira Chakra.

May Maha Kali bless the fierce knives of these fearless soldiers! Jai Maha Kal! Jai Pashupatinath!

Jai Murugan Swami Malaysia Waale - Shri Radhe Maa

Murugan Swami

Batu Caves, a limestone hill that has a several caves and cave temples near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is the most popular Hindu shrine of Malaysia that is home to Lord Murugan Swami, the son of Lord Shiva.

Every year during the Tamil Hindu festival of Thaipusam in January-February lakhs of devotees climb up the hill with Kavadis on their backs and make the journey uphill for a darshan of the Lord.

The Lord also has several Chinese devotees who have been making the journey for several decades now!

The Batu Cave temple was built in 1890 by Indian trader K. Thamboosamy Pillai who was inspired by the cave that has a shape of Lord Swaminat Kartikeya's spear.

A Mahalaxmi temple covered in Gold

 Sripuram

Spread over 100 acres in Malaikodi, Vellore, in Tamilnadu, the Sripuram or City of Lakshmi is designed in the form of a Sri Yantram with the Lakshmi Narayani temple covered in dazzling gold at its centre. The Devi herself inspired Sri Sakthi Amma or Nayarani Amma, a spiritual guru, to create the extremely powerful temple that worships Mata Lakshmi as the all pervading supreme power.

The gold for the temple was brought in loads at the temple, and shaped into sheets before being used to cover the entire temple, which presents a dazzling sight in the sun and at night when it shines in special lighting in all its glory.

Mata Lakshmi Narayani has the power to grant abundance in the lives of her devotees. Devotees who have had darshan of the divine mother of Sripuram attest to her wonderful powers!

May Mata Lakshmi Narayani, the supreme power whose nature expresses itself as abundance and nourishment grant us compassion, love and discrimination. Jai Mata Di!

Watch this video to see the glory of Sripuram with your own eyes

How Devi Kamakhya of Assam made Germany her home

The town of Hamm is home to one of Europe's largest Hindu temple. Tens of thousands of worshippers come here for important religious celebrations close to a busy highway. The temple, which is also popular with worshipers from Belgium and the Netherlands, was founded by Tamil refugees when they came to Germany in the 1980s.

The temple was built by Tamil Hindus from Sri Lanka who were fleeing the civil war in the country. The powerful deity in the temple is Kamakshi Mata who is also known as Kamakhya and worshiped by Tantrics and Shaktas of India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan.

May Mata Kamakshi of Hamm, Germany, bless all beings with discrimination, compassion and love for all beings! Jai Mata Kamakshi! Har Har Mahadev!

Powerful Lord Hanuman temple in Ashoka Vatika, Sri Lanka

We wish all devotees of Shri Sita-Rama and a blessed Hanuman Jayanti!

Lord Hanuman is present at every place where the glory of Lord Rama is sung. Not surprisingly, he is also present at the spot in Sri Lanka where Mata Sita was kept by Ravana, the demon king. A Hindu temple called "Seeta Kovil" or Hanuman Kovil marks the spot where Lord Hanuman first contacted Mata Sita in Ashoka Vatika.

The temple is located near the city of Nuwara Eliya and is revered by local Hindus. Where there is Mata Sita, Lord Maryada Purshottam Rama is also present and where there is Lord Rama, can his servant Hanuman be far behind. Now wonder Valmiki's Ramayan advises devotees to "Bow down to Hanumān, who is the slayer of demons, and who is present with head bowed and eyes full of flowing tears wherever the glory of Rama is sung."

May Lord Hanuman of Sita Kovil of Sri Lanka bless us with devotion for the lotus feet of Lord Rama who alone is the refuge of the universe!
